Painting Classes & Workshop Descriptions
Workshop tickets go on sale Friday, March 1, 2024 at noon HERE
Capture the energy and personality of your favorite animal or human in Amy’s figure and animal acrylic painting workshops for beginner to advanced levels. Learn to paint quick and intuitive with Amy’s limited palette of 3-5 colors. 3 hour in-person and virtual workshops and 3 day in-person workshops (subject to availability). Workshops are scheduled 2 weeks to 6 months prior to the event.

In-Person Pet Painting Workshops
Ages: Ages 16+ OR Ages 10+ (designated “All Ages”)
Length: 3 Hours
Ability Level: Beginner to Advanced
Materials Needed: All supplies for a 12” x 12” canvas are included for in-person events
Subject: YOUR Pet
Class Structure: Step by step demos covering quick drawing, color mixing, and painting technique, opportunities for questions, I will paint an example pet and show you how to do the same for your image. Feedback for all students.
Tickets Available: 15 Tickets
Cost: $65-70 (varies by canvas depth, 7/8” or 1.5”)
Virtual Pet Painting Workshops via Zoom
Ages: All Ages, recommended ages 10+
Length: 3 Hours
Ability Level: Beginner to Advanced
Materials Needed (for Online): canvas, 4 brushes, and red/blue/yellow/white color option, Amy’s recommended supplies preferred (See Recommended Supply List)
Subject: YOUR Pet
Class Structure: Step by step demos covering quick drawing, color mixing, and painting technique, opportunities for questions, I will paint an example pet and show you how to do the same for your image. Feedback for individuals with Reserved Tickets.
Tickets Available: 15 Reserved Tickets (tickets are per-person, individual feedback/interaction), 50 General Admission (tickets are per-household, no individual feedback/interaction)
Cost: $15 (General Admission), $30 (Reserved)
In-Person Intro to Portrait Painting Workshop
Ages: Ages 16+
Length: 3 Hours
Ability Level: Intermediate to Advanced (recommended to have taken prior workshops from Amy to understand style)
Materials Needed: All supplies are included for in-person events
Subject: for the intro class we will all paint the same human subject intended to teach students the proper steps to paint the portrait (if you're wanting to learn to paint your own photo, see Custom Portraits Workshop)
Class Structure: Demonstrations of each step, opportunities for questions and individual feedback provided for all students.
Tickets Available: 8-15 Tickets
Cost: $80+ (price varies by canvas and class size/level of one-on-one attention)
Virtual Intro to Portrait Painting Workshop via Zoom

Length: 3 Hours

Ability Level: Intermediate to Advanced, must have portrait experience or have taken Intro to Portrait Painting Workshop
Materials Needed: Amy's recommended supplies preferred (See Recommended Supply List)
Subject: provide your own photo
Class Structure: Demo portrait painted by Amy, breakdown of each step, then students begin, opportunities for questions and individual feedback provided for those with Reserved Tickets
Tickets Available: 8-12 Reserved Tickets
Cost: $50 (Online), $80+ (In-Person, artists bring their own supplies, or pay additional supply fee)
